It was a cold morning on December 28, 2013 when we set out to see the rescued BLM horses at a privately owned ranch whose owner was determined to help the plight of the Nevada mustangs. Once passed the ‘shoe’ tree we knew we had gone too far. We circled back and tried again to find the location.
Finally there, I was amazed at the gentleness of the land and the horses that occupied it. The journey ended a short time later, but I knew it was a great start to experiencing the true meaning of the Nevada Mustangs. Later I will return and their story will continue.
